Dr. Paige Moorhead

Dr. Paige Moorhead brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as an oral implantologist at Tacoma Dentures and Implants. With a sound foundational background in oral surgery, gained through a rigorous one year surgical internship and a subsequent 2.5 year full-time faculty role at the University of Washington Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery program, Dr. Moorhead honed her skills in dentoalveolar surgical procedures, maxillofacial trauma assessment, pathology screening, and proper management of complex medical cases. Her progression into implant dentistry began in 2021 with an 8 month surgery continuum associated with BioHorizons Oral Reconstruction Foundation, followed by an intensive live surgical training with the Global Dental Implant Academy (GDIA). In 2022, Dr. Moorhead made a pivotal move to private practice in Auburn, WA, where she sharpened her restorative skills while expanding her surgical skills with compounding continuing education. Driven by her unwavering passion, she notably pursued the prestigious 300 hour/10 month advanced education continuum provided by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry’s MaxiCourse, a curriculum that provides a particularly well-rounded expertise in the field of implantology. Additional education highlights include: Texas Implant Institute, Implants for the Full Arch from a Digital Perspective, several additional courses with GDIA, Versah Osseodensification, and pending full-arch specific courses spanning 2025-2026. Auxiliary skillsets she has trained in include botulinum toxin injection with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and platelet rich fibrin uses / treatments with PRF EDU. This comprehensive path culminated in her joining Tacoma Dentures and Implants in March of 2024. Here, Dr. Moorhead fulfills her dream of focusing solely on implantology, with a focus in full-arch implant-supported rehabilitation, providing treatment that improves quality of life to her patients. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Moorhead finds joy and fulfillment with her wife, Lauren, a pilot whose achievements she admires and celebrates. Together, they prioritize health and wellness, with Dr. Moorhead's keen interest in nutrition and fitness serving as a cornerstone of their lifestyle. In their downtime, they both share outstanding passions for wine (frequenting wine tastings and vineyards), coffee shops, and finding the newest foodie spots to try out. Her whole life, Dr. Moorhead has identified as an athlete. She played soccer from elementary school up until freshman year of undergraduate schooling, and she trained in taekwondo from age seven until sixteen, earning her 2nd degree black belt in that time. Soccer and taekwondo competitions, while keeping her nose yearningly in the textbooks, were her lifeblood growing up. Relishing in these two sports, while simultaneously maintaining educational high achievements, engrained in her a lifelong spirit of perseverance, grit, determination, consistency, humility, and integrity. These characteristics, further cultivated during her post-graduate rigorous academic years, are at the heart of her ethos, putting them at the forefront of how she approaches life personally and professionally.
